1. Sheet AI Data Access and Processing
Sheet AI only accesses the spreadsheet cells or data range that you choose to process.
When you run a prompt, Sheet AI sends the selected data directly to the AI provider you have chosen. The AI provider processes the data and sends the generated response back to Sheet AI. The response is first shown in the Sheet AI chat box, where you can review it before deciding whether to paste it into your spreadsheet.
2. Your Data and Settings
Sheet AI does not collect or store your spreadsheet data or AI-generated results.
Your AI provider API keys are stored within your Google account. Sheet AI does not access or collect your API keys, and it does not monitor your API usage.
Your Prompt Library and application settings are also stored within your Google account.
3. AI Providers
Sheet AI lets you choose which AI provider you want to use.
When you use Sheet AI, the spreadsheet data you select is sent directly to the AI provider you choose. AI providers are separate services and may have their own policies for handling data.
4. User Control
You remain in control of your data. You decide:
- which spreadsheet cells or data range to process;
- which AI provider to use;
- what prompts to submit; and
- whether to accept, modify, or discard the AI-generated results.
Sheet AI only pastes AI-generated results into the selected cells. It does not make any other changes to your spreadsheet.
5. Costs
Sheet AI is free to use.
Some AI providers offer a free tier, while others may charge for API usage. Any charges are determined solely by the AI provider you choose and your usage under your own account.
Sheet AI does not charge for using your own AI provider API keys and is not responsible for any fees charged by your AI provider.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Sheet AI does not retain your spreadsheet data or AI-generated results.
Data sent to an AI provider is handled according to that provider’s own policies.
7. AI-Generated Results
Sheet AI displays the results generated by the AI provider you choose.
AI-generated results may not always be accurate or complete. Sheet AI is not responsible for the accuracy or suitability of AI-generated results. You are responsible for reviewing the results before using them.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page together with an updated revision date.
